A beautifully remodeled home deserved landscaping to match its charm. When Erik was brought in to reimagine the front foundation and craft a stunning secret garden in the backyard, his goal was clear—create a unique, low-maintenance design that delivers breathtaking beauty from spring through fall.

In the front yard, Erik carefully balanced the planting design to accommodate both full sun and partial shade. The sunnier side flourishes with Dwarf Catmint, Doubleplay Spirea, and evergreen Bluestar Juniper, while versatile sun-to-shade selections—Green Mountain Boxwood, Red Beauty Holly, Caryopteris, and Millennium Allium—gracefully transition into the shadier corner, where Visions in Purple Astilbe, Burning Love Leucothoe, and Hellebore thrive.

For the backyard, Erik designed a breathtaking secret garden framed by existing arborvitaes, ensuring spectacular views from both the kitchen and main living areas. Understanding the clients’ desire for variety, he created a boomerang-shaped island anchored by two elegant Japanese Maples, allowing for a walkable, immersive experience. The garden beds overflow with dwarf hydrangeas and a vibrant mix of perennials, including Coneflowers, Sangria Achillea, Strawberry Candy Daylily, Canadian Blue Hosta, and Purple Dome Aster. To enhance the outer ring, larger summer-blooming beauties like Aphrodite Calycanthus and Limelight Hydrangeas were introduced.
